Hello all, welcome back to the blog. Just wanted to share some progress with you and what's been happening at our club. It's been busy!
The Club House
The club house is getting some much needed TLC and our renovation project is going well. The lads have all pulled together, along with bringing a professional. Working together they have gutted it, stripping it back to the bones.

Filling the walls with insulation for those colder months and repaneling the internals.

As well as fitting in new electrics.

and the plasterboard.

There has been some stumbling blocks along the road, trying to repaint the current outer panels proved a dead end.

So we replaced the tired outer clubhouse too, with some past members visiting to give us a helping hand (thanks Chris)

With the outer panels replaced...

The new sexy paintwork can come on!

And some very welcome new doors, replacing the old wooden ones with something of quality.

The new vision of the clubhouse is now taking shape. There is still a way to go of course with the new kitchen, furnishings and finishing of internals, but everyone has made a tremendous effort throughout the club.
I would like to thank everyone involved. We're almost there and can finally have a clubhouse to be proud of.
Summer League Update
Blaby's progress has been great this year, with 2 losses going into the final game this Friday 4th July. Things are tight at the top and Blaby could pull off promotion/championship, with a crunch match at home vs Desford III to finish things off.

We wish the team good luck as they fight for the title. No pressure lads!
School Competition
Lastly, Blaby played hosts to another school competition organised by LSLSSP. A great turnout and use of our courts by the community. Congratulations to the winners Greenfield and all who took part.

Thanks reader for all your support for the club. More to come.
Yours,
Blaby Victoria Tennis Club
