Men's Winter League 2025-1st Team Wrap Up

Blaby fielded two teams in this year's Winter League. This is our Wrap Up for the 1st Team. A good winter season, but one we couldn't quite capitlise on tight matches to stand a little better in the league table.

The Results

A season that never really kicked off, a few spotty wins, a few draws and losses to the top sides, gives us a very mixed bag of results. Blaby produced 3 out of 7 victories in a season where our form was inconsistent and feeling we could have done a little better. We finished strong with two victories.

The Roster

We would like to thank and congratulate all the players who took part this season. Your effort were greatly appreciated.

Matt, the 1st team captain showing why he is in that position coming out with the best win percentage combined with most matches played overall. A great effort all round.

Final League Table

The final league table for Men's Doubles 5A and ended up comfortably mid-table, unable to capitalise on our summer form.

Our last game coming midway in January 2026 pushes Blaby into 4th place. Congratulations to all who took part, it was a great last surge to get to that position as it was tight in the middle. The top two battling it out to the very end. 1 point decidiing the winners. Congratulations to Loughborough LTC.

Final Thoughts

While not trying to be cup half-empty, we always use tougher seasons to learn lessons and grow as players, a team and a club.
