These are the results of the Summer League 2025
Hinckley III - Thursday 1st May 2025
A fantastic start to the season as we see an almost complete sets victory over Hinckley III on their Wimbledon coloured courts. Some great high quality matches with just a loss of focus in the second round of swaps.
Sets are first to 8 with a tiebreak at 7-7, 3 pairs face off. 9 sets played in total.

Carisbrooke J - Tuesday 6th May 2025
Unable to capitalise on the first win. Blaby were just second best almost throughout. A lack of adjustment to the different playing conditions against some solid opposition. Taking 3 sets but feelings it could have been closer with some close sets.

Hamilton II - Friday 16th May 2025
A great comeback with a first home win of the season. Dominant display of tennis throughout on home soil. A shout out to Marcin who made his debut for the Men's team with a solid performance, coming in from the juniors. Something we love to see.

Houghton III - Tuesday 20th May 2025
Houghton pull out of 7A.
Rothley Ivanhoe VII - Friday 6th June 2025
Following on with another great home win with Upendra making his Blaby debut. Some tight sets and ended up being a scramble to the finish line with some close and clutch match play, taking the final round of matches 2-1 to seal a 5-4 victory. Well done team.

Loughborough LTC V - Friday 13th June 2025
Travelling to Loughborough in the hot summer sun proved difficult for Blaby. Some very close sets and a tiebreak loss from a winning position. A tough defeat to swallow but a lot of lessons learnt.

Charnwood V - Tuesday 26th June 2025
Blaby returns to winning ways as we battled it out on the clay courts of Charnwood. Some tight sets but we came away with the win.

Desford III - Friday 4th July 2025
The last game of the season and Blaby have to give everything for any chance of being crowned champions of 7A. The lads came up with the goods under a little pressure with a 6-3 win and some hard fought sets, coming from behind on a few occasions.

Final Thoughts
A fantastic season. BLABY CAME AWAY CHAMPIONS of 7A really showcasing our tennis. I for one am super proud of the team. We gave debuts to a few members and it's great to see them step up into competition and thriving. A lot of things to learn and still improve on but a great leaping pad and confidence boost for next season.
Yours,
Blaby Victoria Tennis Club
